How it works.

engagement_rate = (likes + comments + shares) / impressions × 100

Comment ratio matters more than total. Posts with >20% comment ratio get pushed to 2nd-degree feeds; like-heavy posts plateau within hours.

FAQ.

How is LinkedIn engagement rate calculated?+

Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares + reposts) ÷ impressions × 100. Some calculators use follower count as the base; impressions is more accurate.

What's a good LinkedIn engagement rate?+

B2B median is around 2%. Above 5% is strong. Personal posts from founders/operators routinely exceed 8%; company-page posts typically sit at 1-3%.

Personal page vs company page?+

Personal posts get 3-5× the organic reach of company posts. Build the founder's profile first, repost as the company second.

Should I count clicks in engagement?+

Optional. Pure engagement rate excludes clicks. 'Engagement + clicks' is a fairer measure for posts designed to drive traffic.

How often should I post?+

3-5 personal posts per week, 2-3 company-page posts. Daily posting often dilutes quality — LinkedIn's algorithm rewards engagement velocity, not volume.
